HOW DO WE BOOK A SESSION WITH YOU?

First things first. Please send me a message, email or text to get in touch. We will then chat about what you are after and what kind of session you would like and go from there. If you feel like you would like to chat over the phone before booking your session, use the "Let's Chat" button at the bottom of the page, with your best contact number and I will give you a call as soon as I can.

WHAT DO WE WEAR TO OUR SESSION?

 

I personally love the look of simple, neutral colours like whites, creams, beige, greys or anything earthy toned. I recommend these simple colours so we don't take away any of the attention from your little people. Mums - I have a beautiful client wardrobe that is always available to you in any session you book with me and it is free of charge. I have everything you will need for your newborn and in our pre session phone consultation, we will always chat about clothing options and what I have available.

WHEN DO WE BOOK OUR SESSION IN?

​

I recommend booking in your second or third trimester. As I only take a limited amount of bookings per month, booking ahead ensures you don't miss out. Once you are booked in, your spot will always be reserved for you. If baby has already arrived, please reach out anyway, as I may be able to find a suitable date to book you in.

WHERE DO YOUR SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

​

Maternity sessions can either be on location, weather permitting or in my home studio located in Stirling, Perth. I have a spot for a beach session, a paddock, the hills or we can discuss another location. Newborn, Lifestyle, Mini Newborn, Cake smash and Milestone sessions are shot in my home studio.

BABIES LIKE TO COME IN THEIR OWN TIME. HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN OUR NEWBORN SESSION WILL BE? 

​

​When you book a session, we pencil in your due date as a guide as to when baby will rock up. Once bub arrives, I ask that you please contact me at your earliest convenience - within 48 hours where possible. We can then book your session for when bub is between 5-14 days old. We schedule your sessions in the early days as the first two weeks is when bub is often the sleepiest and moved easily without waking. This means less time settling and more time capturing those beautiful baby features and details, and still achieve those beautiful "curly" poses. The more days that pass, the more awake time they tend to  have and the more alert they become, which means spending more time feeding and settling them back to sleep.

WHAT ELSE CAN WE EXPECT IN OUR SESSION?

​

My studio is a clean and safe environment. Your baby's safety is my number one priority so I will only ever pose them with you, on my specially designed newborn posing bean bag and in props that are safe.

I  have a large range of props including blankets, wraps, bowls, baskets, outfits, beanies, headbands and more. If you wish to bring along something that is special to you, I am more than happy to incorporate it into your session where possible, with baby's safety first and foremost in mind.

WHEN DO I BOOK MY MATERNITY SESSION IN?

​

I usually photograph maternity sessions around the 32-36 week mark whilst you are still feeling comfortable. This is always up to you and how you would like to look for your special day.

WHEN WILL MY PHOTOS BE READY?

​

I always say around 4 weeks from beginning to end, but it can often be sooner. After your session has taken place, there are 4 steps that follow. 1-I get your gallery ready for you and email them through to you. 2-You then go through and choose your favs for your package.

3-I then edit those for you and send them to print. 4- Printing, packaging ready for collection. I allow around one week for each step.

WHAT DO I RECIVE WITH MY PHOTOS?

Every package, with the exception of The Newborn Mini Session, comes with prints. The reason for this is because I spend so much time hand editing each photo one by one (Nope, I don't use any AI software other than photoshop to edit your photos) and my computer is calibrated to a pro lab printer, that prints your photos on exceptional quality papers. What you see is what you should get. If you then choose to print more at a bulk printers like Kmart or officeworks and they come out looking an odd colour, you can then refer back to the professional prints to see what colour they should be. Your packages with prints, also include a stunning engraved wooden USB and box with enlargements (as per price list)

I HAVE OTHER CHILDREN, ARE THEY INCLUDED IN THE SESSION?

​

YES YES AND MORE YES. Absolutely your other children are included in every session. Mum, Dad and siblings are always welcome in every session. 

​

IM WORRIED MY BABY WONT BE SETTLED AND WE WONT GET NICE PHOTOS.

​

Babies will be babies and every session is always driven by bub. This is why I allow 2-4 hours for my newborn sessions. If bub needs to feed, burp or simply have a cuddle, we allow plenty of time for those things. Believe me when I say I have seen and worked with every stage of babies and we simply take our time, take babies lead and as long as baby is happy, comfortable and safe, we then continue on with the session. I never rush a session. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I will make sure we do everything possible to get the most stunning gallery possible.

IVE SEEN A SPECIFIC POSE I WOULD LIKE, DO WE GET TO CHOOSE PROPS AND POSES?

​

Absolutely! I always ask what colours, props and poses you would like to achieve in your session. As long as baby is happy to do them, we will. Your baby's happiness and most importantly safety, is always my number one priority.

WHAT DO YOU DO IF MY BABY IS BORN EARLY OR LATE?

​

Never fear. There is nothing too big or small you can't contact me for. That is why I am here. I will guide you every step of the way. This is one of the biggest reasons why I only take a certain number of bookings per month. To have plenty of space for movement of sessions and to allow for all the behind the scenes editing, so you're not waiting too long for your photos. As soon as baby arrives, whether early or late, contact me as soon as you can and we then book your session in. Your due date is just a guide.

CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT VOUCHER?

Absolutely. I have gift vouchers I can post straight to you. These are such a great gift idea and with the many sessions I offer, there is surely one to suit everyone.

THERE IS A LOT OF INFORMATION BUT I AM STILL CONFUSED WITH HOW IT ALL WORKS.

I will give you a quick run down on every step of the way here. Once you know you would like to work with me, contact me as soon as you can and we will book your session in. This is done via a $200 retainer session fee. This keeps your booking just for you. Once baby has arrived, you contact me as soon as possible and we find a date and book your shoot in. 2-3 days before your session, I give you a call and we go through what to bring, what to wear, colours, props and poses you would like. You can ask any questions you have. We then have your session, I get your gallery ready for you and email through a beautiful online watermarked gallery for you to view and choose your photos on. Once you have chosen, I then edit, print and package them up for you.
